These are quality pens that write well, are comfortable to hold, don't smear, and are priced very reasonably.There is one drawback for me -- I don't use them continuously, so when I pick one up to write after it's been sitting unused for a few minutes I always have to roll the ball back and forth quickly over a piece of scratch paper a few times to get the ink flowing again. I think the reason this happens is that Paper Mate formulates the ink to be non-smearing, meaning that the ink is formulated to dry very quickly. Quick-drying ink is not an issue as long as the pen is continuously used, but tends to stop the ink flow if the pen sits for a couple of minutes. This is not a big complaint and shouldn't bother anyone at all who uses their pens in a fairly constant manner.Despite my complaint, I would certainly buy these pens again, and I recommend them.
